RODENTS

Evicting Rodents Out of Homes and Commercial Buildings in Hardin County, KY

Mice & Rats

Mice and rats live almost everywhere around the world. They can live in forests, mountains, plains, deserts, barns, and houses. Life Cycle Breeding occurs throughout the year. Female mice can give birth to a litter of three to fourteen young. They typically have five to ten litters per year.

The worst thing about mice and rats is the damage and the diseases they potentially carry. They chew through furniture, walls, floors, and electrical wiring. Their practice of chewing through wiring can cause fires. The biggest reason for removing mice and rats is the diseases they carry. Call BCPC Exterminating immediately if you suspect mice or rats in your home or business.

Moles & Voles

Moles are small mammals that live underground. To be clear, moles are NOT rodents. They have long, round bodies, velvety fur, small ears, and eyes. Their front paws are strong and adapted to digging underground tunnels. They can tear up lawns, livestock's grass feed, flower beds, and plant roots, and destroy drainage systems. Moles also create tunnels in gardens and grounds, leaving holes and tunnels near the surface, creating a real problem when walking across your lawn.

Voles are rodents, and they have the appearance of field mice, but a closer look will tell the difference. They won't usually enter the home as they are more attracted to vegetation, grasses, seeds, and roots.
