Pest Control in Hardin County & Central Kentucky
BCPC Exterminating has a long history of removing pests from homes and businesses in our area. We know the characteristics of each insect and rodent, what they like, where they like to hide, and how they get in. Each pest leaves a trail of destruction, and most of these pests are just plain nasty. Our mission is simple: locate them, get rid of them, and seal them off if possible. We have years and years of success under our belts and are well-equipped to get your home or business pest-free. Call us today for service on any of the following insects and more.
The main thing to remember about spiders is that not all are poisonous. There are a few, like the Brown Recluse and the Black Widow. Whether dangerous or not, they are not welcome and must go.
They can usually be found in damp and humid places such as bathrooms, basements, and attics. They contaminate food and consume books, carpets, clothes, coffee, glue, paints, photos, plaster, and sugar.
Flea bites can remain itchy and red for many weeks. They are nasty and can drive your pets crazy. These are not typical house pests; we are very good at eradicating them and treating the perimeter to keep them away.
Hornets build their nest in the spring, usually in hollow tree trunks. Each nest contains between 200-400 Hornets. If disturbed, hornets mobilize the entire nest to attack people and animals to protect their hive. People who are allergic to wasp stings are also allergic to hornet stings.
Wasps tunnel into wood decks, porches, and other wooden structures and can cause damage over time. If provoked, wasps will sting.
Ticks are usually brownish but may change to rust or brown-red after feeding. They live where yards border wooded areas, gardens, shaded areas, or sandy areas with crevices. They thrive in high-humidity areas and can carry diseases that harm humans and animals.
Bed bugs are active at night, making it hard to detect them. They hide in dark, deep crevices. Hundreds of their small, sticky, transparent eggs can hide in fabric creases. Signs of infestation are small insect bites and red, itchy patches on arms and legs, small dark, sand-like droppings on furniture and sheets, blood smears on sheets, and their empty shell carcasses in or near your bed. Once a bed bug finishes feeding, it retreats to areas near beds or other furniture. Bed bugs often live in bags, luggage, cars and trucks, couches, cars, electrical sockets, and laptops. Bed bugs can also survive on cats and dogs. Humans are their preferred hosts. BCPC Exterminating can effectively kill these insects. Call us to schedule an appointment.
They live in moist, humid areas and swampy patches of land with shelter. Cockroaches prefer warm temperatures and don't do well in cold climates. Cockroaches are commonly found in basements, crawl spaces, underneath porches, and foundations. Cockroaches also live in sewers, sometimes moving outside during warm weather. They are not terribly harmful insects, but they love to get into your food and are not welcome.
We can remove the following as well from your home or business.
